Considered by many to be the world's number one destination for both amateur and professional landscape photographers, the island offers landscapes of incomparable beauty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin Schultz details 58 locations divided into 13 detailed itineraries. Each route is accompanied by practical information: precise location, strategic accommodation (to ensure easy access), what to wear, the best times of day and season for taking good photos depending on the light, weather conditions and visitor numbers, GPS coordinates of the site in the form of a QR code, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each image details the shooting configuration used (filter, aperture, exposure, focal length), the best spots to take the photo and gives technical photographic advice: composition, points of view, use of tripod, long exposure, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The guide is very field-oriented. It serves as both a tourist guide and a photographic guide. The idea is to help photographers plan their tours, find the right times, sites and conditions to maximise photographic opportunities, avoid certain pitfalls (tourists, weather, access difficulties) and also find the less-frequented corners. The 'advice' boxes are also very welcome, covering safety, equipment, logistics, caf\u00e9s, etc. depending on the location.<\/p>\n\n\n138-139-r-1<\/a>\n\n\n

It is ideally suited to both amateur and advanced photographers who want to plan their photography trip to Iceland. Or, more simply, to aesthetes who will delight in the author's images.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Iceland is a photographer's paradise, and this is evident on every page of this book. Icebergs, lava fields, cascades, waterfalls, aurora borealis, and so on. All the images are magnificent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Martin Schulz's Photographing Iceland is much more than a simple guide: it is an invitation to travel, a bridge between methodical preparation and pure wonder. Through the precision of its advice and the beauty of its images, the book succeeds in combining technical rigour and poetic inspiration. We discover a grandiose Iceland, by turns mineral and luminous, wild and fragile; a land where light constantly sculpts new landscapes. This book is a reminder of how photography can be an art of contemplation and a means of resonating with nature.
