The eyes are the windows to the soul, and in the gazes of these women, photographed in the four corners of the globe, we capture the soul of each one.
These women offer us their fragility, their wounds, their gentleness too. They carry within them the difficulties of their condition, while giving us a glimpse of their greatness, their strength of life, their dignity.
These encounters are often brief. It is a look that catches another look. At times, they emanate a sense of freedom, independence and rebellion, even though they live in countries where the position of women is harsh.
Their faces streaked with sun and wind, they shine in the middle of the desert. Their laughter radiates life. Between silence and words, they open the door to their hearts.
