Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, one of the leaders in the global hotel industry and part of the Accor group, has announced that it will open its first hotel in Japan on 1 July 2025.

Combining elegance and modern design, the hotel is located in the South Tower. "Blue Front Shibaura "It occupies floors 35 to 43, giving guests a panoramic view of the bay and Tokyo Tower. Built in 1999, the tower is a skyscraper offering residential and commercial space. The district is ideally located just 13 minutes from Haneda airport and six minutes from Tokyo and Shinagawa stations. It combines a blend of modern urban planning with privileged access to many of the city's points of interest.

Shibaura is located in the Minato district, one of Tokyo's main economic centres, making it a strategic location for business travellers and tourists wishing to stay close to the financial districts while being somewhat removed from the central bustle. The district has a quieter feel than some of Tokyo's other districts, yet is well served by public transport, making it easy to get around the city. It is close to Tokyo Harbour and offers outstanding views of the bay, which can be an asset for those seeking a more peaceful environment with a beautiful view of the water. The hotel's interiors, carefully designed by the internationally renowned studio BARThe new products feature a range of refined colours, rich textures and subtle references to traditional Japanese techniques such as weaving and "weaving". "Kintsugi "These are reflected in the hotel's art and textiles. The warm tones of nara wood (Japanese ash), quartzite stone and brass accents give the rooms an atmosphere of timeless elegance.
The lobby on the 35th floor leads to magnificent east-west facing outdoor terraces. The first features a relaxation pool and sun terrace where guests can enjoy ultimate relaxation followed by sunset cocktails. A second terrace, located next to the lobby lounge, offers views of the tranquil Tokyo Bay, as well as an area with a fireplace. Guests can also enjoy a 24-hour gym, indoor infinity pool, dry saunas and sundeck.
