Le Mas du Couvin is, first and foremost, a story of returning to one's roots. It's the story of Sarah Ferton, born in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, who, after twenty years in Paris, decides to leave the urban hustle and bustle to return to her native land, her family, and the deep bond that unites her with the Camargue region.

Following the disappearance of her brother Loïc, she takes over the Mas du Couvin, nestled on the edge of the Camargue Regional Nature Park, a few minutes from the Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Driven by the desire to revive this place steeped in history, she undertook a complete renovation of the property, with the ambition of offering an experience that is both authentic, elegant, and deeply rooted in the spirit of the Camargue.
The soul of the farmhouse reinvented

Weakened by time, the original building was the subject of five years of restoration under the direction of the architect Marie of Murcia. The farmhouse has been entirely rethought in an approach that respects its identity. The aim was neither to freeze the past nor to turn it into a mere stage set, but rather to allow the place to continue its story without ever altering its soul. The architecture establishes a subtle dialogue between tradition and modernity: the sleeping quarters retain their original volume, while the living areas open out to the exterior thanks to large picture windows. It is a dialogue between stone, wood, iron, and contemporary technologies that coexist harmoniously.
Among reeds and light

And so the Mas du Couvin is reborn. Set within two hectares of wild vegetation, amongst reeds, marshes, and shifting light, this refuge invites a timeless interlude and a sensory immersion. Through its local materials, its spaces open to nature, and its eco-responsible philosophy, the place celebrates the four emblematic elements of the Camargue: the water of the marshes, local stone, flora, and light.
Le mas du Couvin: A sensory experience

The name «Couvin», derived from Provençal, evokes the nearby marsh where birds nest, in a preserved environment where water and land meet.
Conceived as a family home, the Mas du Couvin can accommodate up to twelve people. The property has five spacious, air-conditioned bedrooms and a furnished caravan in the heart of the park. Each space has been designed to offer comfort, serenity and privacy: a high-end kitchen, a cosy living room, terraces opening onto nature, and an elegant raised swimming pool protected by a sun sail and hidden behind reeds. An open hut facing the marshes completes the ensemble, inviting meditation as well as moments of shared pleasure.
A way of life in the Camargue

Designed to be experienced as a whole house, the Mas du Couvin is equally suited to family reunions, getaways with friends, as well as wellness retreats or seminars in the heart of nature. To enrich the experience, the Mas du Couvin also offers a selection of tailor-made activities to discover the Camargue at your own pace and according to your desires: horse riding, outdoor yoga sessions, discovery of local traditions, and other personalised experiences.

Le Mas du Couvin is thus establishing itself today as the new exclusive spot for celebrating another idea of luxury, deeply connected to nature and the present moment. A place to experience at least once.
