It's the prettiest building in the little Provencal town, opposite the Town Hall with its listed wedding hall. Born out of love at first sight, unless it was a full moon spell, or the admirable whim of Claude Gueugnon-Caraly's grandparents, who were tempted in the 1900s by this ravishing building, listed as a Monument Historique at the time.
The 3-storey building faced 3 different streets, had 27 windows, several private flats and a shop on the ground floor. Claude Gueugnon-Caraly and her husband Kimy wanted to preserve, renovate and embellish the premises and pay tribute to grandmother Gueugnon through the history of the place and the family.
2019 will see the start of the complete renovation of the building to turn it into an Appart Hotel****. A project manager fromEcole Boulle is chosen and opts for a modern decor, in keeping with a revisited Provence, but all in seductive style. Six intimate suites evoke these residences born of sunshine and the pleasure of living, with decor that blends stone with warm wallpaper designs by Masureel and Casamance. These sun-drenched homes, with their soft patina of yellow, orange and blue walls, contemporary furniture in search of recognition and the owner's personal touch, are absolutely enchanting.
Each suite has been transformed into a kind of thematic scenography exercise: the atmosphere of a Provençal house with a sleeping area and bedding of palace quality, a living area and another dedicated to the kitchen (mini-bar, coffee machine, microwave, designer fridge). Then there's the modern bathroom, perfectly equipped with whirlpool showers. Lovers will opt for a 30 m² junior suite overlooking the Place de l'Hôtel de Ville. You can also spend a wonderful night in the 60 m² family suite with 2 bedrooms, king-size bed and 2 bathrooms.
